The deer hunting sportsmen and sportswomen I have met over many years of deer hunting all have one thing in common---we are all suckers for the newest, latest deer hunting gear offered each season by the outdoor sport companies who specialize in deer hunting scents for concealing the human scent to scents for attracting the biggest buck within miles, camo clothing, archery bows, arrows, broadheads, tree stands, rifle scopes and much more. And we end up buying a lot of the new gear because of the "possibility" it will actually bring in that trophy Whitetail buck. It has been my experience it is how you hunt more than looking like you just stepped out of a hunting magazine that produces more consistence results. Now, having said all that, there are certain deer hunting tools that will increase your chances of harvesting a trophy whitetail buck. One of these is a good pruning tool. I learned this lesson the hard way by just assuming any deer that would cross in front of my tree stand would stop in one of the clearings offering me a clean shot with my bow. Murphy's Law comes into play here. if there is any branch or twig that is going to get in the way this is exactly where the deer will stop. never fails. So I now carry a Deer hunting tool to clear away these branch's so I have several clear shooting lanes from the tree stand. It is a one half inch bypass pruner and comes with a black ballistic sheath a deer hunting sportsman can wear securely attached to their belt or on a back pack loop. This way the deer hunting tool is easily accessible for clearing away the many branch's the diligent deer hunting hunter will want to remove so when that big buck strolls into range you will not have a branch blocking you shot, like has happened to me in the past. Another use for this pruner is when you have deer hunting success and that trophy Whitetail is ready to be field dressed. The pruner will aid you in quickly and efficiently field dressing the deer so you can remove the deer from the woods quickly.
