deer huntingMy husband hails from the Appalachian Mountains and like most men born and raised in that part of the world he has been deer hunting ever since he was a boy. Because I know my husband is a deer hunting enthusiast and I am a curious person I once asked him which three items apart from a cross bow or rifle were the most important when stalking a doe or a buck.
According to my husband clothing is the most important consideration when deer hunting. Given that deer hunting season is in November my husband makes sure that the clothing he is wearing is both warm and waterproof. He says that physical discomfort will make deer hunting a miserable experience rather than a pleasure.
My husband told me that a good scope is also another important thing to have with you while deer hunting. The scope helps my husband to spot the deer and magnify it so that he can get a better shot at it.  In other words having the scope makes my husband a more successful huntsman.
Last but not least my husband reckons that any deer hunting enthusiast must have a good general purpose knife. He is talking about the kind of knife that can be used both for survival in the event of an emergency and for skinning an animal.
