camping gear, camping cookware I want to spend as much time this summer camping. We enjoy camping a great deal and have neighbors who we often go camping with. We share camping gear so we don't have to duplicate what we bring along. We have nice camping cookware and they supply the camping stoves. We use a combination of the campfire and propane stoves to do our cooking. Sometimes we have to use the propane stoves exclusively because of fire restrictions in the forests. It can be dry as toast in the woods and forest fires are not uncommon. I live in Arizona where our early summer climate is exceedingly dry. Humidities seldom go over 10% and if the wind blows, we have serious fire danger. Rather than close the forests, the policies are now built around a zero tolerance for camp fires or charcoal stoves. Happily, we haven't had a serious forest fire for a number of years now. When we go camping, we are so careful with our behavior outside so we don't start any fires. We even include a fire extinguisher as part of our camping gear just in case.
