Deer Hunting
Going to deer camp is one of the biggest events of the year. It has been something I look forward to every year since I was ten years old. Now, I am able to take my own son deer hunting for the first time by
packing up the camping gear and going to deer camp. He got his very own hunting license this year, and couldn't be more proud of it.
We packed up the truck with our camping gear, rifles, and plenty of food for two guys spending the weekend in the woods at camp. That means there was a lot of food. After a two hour trip, that was through some old
woods roads, we got to the camp. It's located on the bank of a river and has a pretty large cleared lot. We stowed the camping gear inside, went down by the river for a minute and began gathering some fire wood. We were going to eat out on the fire tonight and I couldn't wait to get a large fire roaring. We didn't see anything deer hunting that weekend, but we sure ate a lot and had a great time together. We can't wait for
next year.
