I am into deer hunting in a big way and have been so for over four decades. I am fortunate to live in one of the top deer hunting states in the nation and for many residents deer hunting season is looked forward to with great anticipation and preparation. My state is actually over populated with deer so the state DNR has very liberal law's concerning the number of each sex a person deer hunting may harvest. My favorite type of deer hunting is with a bow and arrow. I enjoy the challenge this type of hunting demands, the preparation that begin's months before the season opens, the scouting for likely deer locations, the absolute need for scent control and stealth, and the feeling of satisfaction of just being in the woods. Actually harvesting a trophy buck is icing on the cake for me and many of the other deer hunting fanatics I know. The wildlife I have seen while in the woods pursuing a trophy whitetail is amazing and I have seen wildlife do things I would only see on TV shows about animals had I stay home.
